To give everyone an update on how MECW is doing these days. It seems that they may be going through their death throws considering they are so worried about a small promotion running in Monroe City last night that they called the manager of the building and tried to cancel their show. How do I know this is true? It is because the promoter of the show was standing in the office with the building manager when the call came in. To further add to the truth behind this, MECW tried to reschedule the show for Nov 11th under their banner. It is pretty sad that you guys have to tamper with another company because you can't make it on your own. MECW is proving what kind of people are in control, and all I can say is good luck in all of your future endeveaors.

MCIW ran last night and no it isn't a lie, because somebody from MECW made the call. You can call it hatin if you want to but you would be pissed if somebody messed with your paycheck like that. It isn't about hating on a company it is about paying bills and someone trying to take that away from you. If MECW is in such a bad way and I heard that they are, then man up and admit your failure on your own. Don't go around sabotaging other companies because you can't compete legitimately.

MECW Management asked me not to even acknowledge this and ignore the incompetence and ignorance of others....
BUT, I'm a good friend of "MECW" and I'm behind them 250% ... so here goes anyway!
Whoever you are, GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT before you run your mouth!
MECW's live events coordinator did call yesterday morning to change their 10/23 date to 11/11 ... you F'ing moron!
It had nothing to do with whatever backyard promotion ran there last night. I, nor MECW Management, nor too many fans I'm sure.. even knew a show existed last night!!!!
So don't ride the coat tales of MECW ...... AND ...... don't blame the lack of a crowd (in Monroe City last night) on MECW simply calling to change their date yesterday... (I assume that's what you're pissed off about... the lack of a crowd).
To sum it all up and make it short........... PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU TYPE. IDIOTS!!
Who the hell is MCIW? Not ANOTHER freakin' promotion?! AHHHHHHHHHHHH......................

Considering the fact that MCIW has been doing shows there long before MECW existed, they are by far backyard. Low crowd attendance was never mentioned so how did you know the crowd was down? And to question the facts by your source, I was there when the call came in by MECW because the building manager herself said it was MECW and they called to cancel the show that was going on last night. Your source is lying or can't control the others from doing their job for them. What a joke!

In your first post you said that the promoter was in the office when the call came in, now you are saying YOU were in the office when the call came in. SO which is it? Are you the promoter? The only shows that ever ran in Monroe City before MECW are TSW and CWA. Niether EVER had a big crowd. So there crowd probably wasn't "down", it was just normal size. Of there was that one time when CWA ran a benefit show and the promoter kept all of the proceeds for himself, including the jar of money that people donated to at the front door. That show had a decent crowd, but does it really count?

OK don't know what the facts are in this instance and don't have a dog in this fight so only thing I'm saying is you are mistaken in this statement. Monroe City was a regular successful show for years for NWC promoter Bud Chaplin from Olney IL and I know shows were run there by Crossroads Championship Wrestling from Terre Haute in addition to TSW and CWA. Also MCIW has run there off and on for several years now under Bobo Brazil Jr. I believe and sometimes Charlie Lowe. Not taking anyone's side just stating the facts.

First of all, I wanted to say that I debated about even acknowledging this bile that is being spewed out about MECW, but then I realized that a lot of MECW fans follow this board, so I figured I would come on here and set the record straight . . . MECW is NOT out of business, nor do they have any problems financially, nor do they have a lack of a wrestling ring. MECW is planning something very big in the upcoming months and have been planning those events as well as many other surprises that will manifest themselves soon on mecwpro.com. Secondly, MECW had Monroe booked solidly almost every weekend at the end of every month, but with the recent opportunity, they decided to cancel their shows so that the venue could be booked by other events. For those naysayers out there, I hope you enjoy misleading MECW's fans, but I just want to assure the MECW fans that very big things are in place and confirmed. Stay tuned to your tv sets, keep your radios dialed in, and check the website for further updates. Thank you all in advance for reading this post.
Signed,
I DO KNOW!!!

This is in Response to " I Do Know " Even if MECW has got something big planned, why would this keep you from running monthly shows. From a business stand point this does not make any sense what so ever. The shows should still be ran and cash stocked piled in order to pay for future talent brought in. The question that needs to be asked is, Will the fan base still be there or will they loose faith in MECW like they did in VIP? I honestly fill like MECW is being honest with the wrestling community.

The fact that these rumors have come about is purely propaganda by a rival company wanting to make a name for themselves because they're afraid that the competition will succeed. The fact of the matter is this, MECW isn't going anywhere and nor will it.
Perfect Storm, nothing is stopping MECW from running monthly shows. Heck, nothing is stopping them from running shows far beyond that. The fact of the mater is this, people who like to stir stuff always end up getting the short end of the stick.
MECW is out to give wrestling fans a sense that they can enjoy a quality product without all the hardcore junk that people are force-fed today. Now I'll say this much, yeah MECW hasn't done a show in the month of October and nor will they but I can assure you that you'll be seeing more of the company in a HUGE way in the near future. We don't CARE what these naysayers believe or say. We care about the FANS! That's why I chose to come on this board and post. I don't want to see anyone fall to the "bile" that has filled these message boards about MECW. I can care less about CCW in general and overall MECW feels the same. We choose not to poke fun of or run rumors about ANY rival promotion. This is how we run...there's no need to start stuff that just isn't even needed to begin with.
The point is this, MECW isn't going out of business and we're only going to get bigger and better. If people like "Wouldn't you like to know" choose to spill their garbage over forums that don't even belong to MECW then that's fine. Promotional standpoint...you can poke fun of our company as much as you want, but good or bad it's still promotion that you're giving us. Let's just ask a few other wrestling companies out there past and present how far talking about another organization got them.
I'll stop there and you probably won't hear anything from me again, but I just wanted to clear that up. For now, I'll take the time to plug our company again since it's already been the center of attention in this entire forum...as "I DO Know" said, "I hope you enjoy misleading MECW's fans, but I just want to assure the MECW fans that very big things are in place and confirmed. Stay tuned to your tv sets, keep your radios dialed in, and check the website for further updates. Thank you all in advance for reading this post."
Again, that's MECWPRO.com...follow us on Twitter, Facebook, or our message boards. You can even call the hotline at 323-521-MECW or watch our WEEKLY TV show on My44 Saturday's at 11am....you won't want to miss it!!!
Thank you...

First, I would like to say to I know just as much that I thank you for having a civil conversation with me and I can understand your anger because you think every body is against MECW right now.
I have nothing against MECW and have enjoyed their Evansville shows very much but I also enjoy CCW,NFW,AWF,TSW AND Friday I plan on enjoying the WWA Show.Nothing against MICW,just have not had the opportunity to attend one of your shows. My point is I love wrestling and I will continue to go to different promotions shows, does that mean I enjoy every thing at these shows no but at least I am doing what I love the most and that is watching wrestling. I think all promotions would do themselves a favor and read page 14 and 15 of the current issue Inside Wrestling.I hope some day all area promotions will do a combine super show.
I know just as much, I would like to challenge you on a few things. You said " we choose not to poke fun at rival Promotions. This not true Nic Wood has taken a few shots at CCW And at NFW on the CCW message board, one being about CCW not starting on time and NFW running past mid-night.
I want to ask you a honest question if MECW does not care about CCW why does MECW continue to advertise their show and results on CCW message board. The problem is this MECW set themselves as the future of wrestling in the tri-state but a few months later MECW is nowhere to be found. Yes you can take a month off, but if there are truly no problems with MECW running show right now it does not make sense from a business stand point to not run shows when you hot.
A final word naysayers as you call them, and probably me too are also fans. We can be both .

Its funny that people call this a CCW board, and complain when other shows are promoted here, yet others use it to promote more than CCW does. This MISC board might as well be the Evansville pro wrestling board. Ive even kicked around an idea of starting an Evansville wrestling board but this pretty much serves that need.
