I really like the way this sounds. I will be there without a doubt! If you are striving to be in the upper epsilon of the independent wrestling world, with the likes of ROH, CZW, CHIKARA etc. It is my pleasure as a fan to help you get there.
The Metro is really nice. With the vision you have coupled with the great arena, it would look great on video! Of course selling videos would generate a lot more revenue. Something every Wrestling promotion should look into...but to my dismay don't for some reason.
I can't wait to hear who else is on the card... please keep us informed!
any news on a website?

I don't mean to sound thingyy, but another promotion for CCW to knock out! Since CCW came together in 2001 we have faced and devoured IWP, NFW, TNA's Foray to Evansville, and even IWA Mid South. It doesn't matter what letters they put on the marquee they won't be around in a year. Best of luck to ya! Unfortunately the fate of a wrestling organization is based on the people in charge, and if the rumors are true VIP will last as long as IWP.

The board censored out thingyy so I will change that into pompous. Let me get this straight real quick. Competition is a good thing. Let's just hope they do it right and that they don't cancel their show at the 11th hour with fans scratching their heads like has been done before. And this is not a first blow. My woman was out shopping the other day when she saw a long time local worker that is affiliated with the show that said that these (this one and the one in Selvin (or as he called it Sullivan) were secret shows. And they were only running these as some sort of payback and stab at CCW. Sorry to hear that. That may not be the way the whole promotion operates but your team is only as strong as your weakest link. I admit we have some weak links but we have a titanium foundation. We run shows to make people happy, not to piss people off.

hey nic, the guy running these VIP shows is one of the guys from the old CCW regime. You know the one that could draw about 12 people and claim to have a great show. These guys were given resources to run a show every week and they got 12 people to pay every week. They took one of the top indy promotions in the united states and ran it into the ground. Now everyone is jumping on their bandwagon because they start a new fed and put ROH, and IWA names on it? Did you see the list of the current roster? The same guys that were getting bashed on the forum for stinking up CCW.
Like nic said, how many have tried to run CCW off? NFW tried to compete and couldn't. Midwest Pro tried and failed. All of the IWA shows that Ian ran were outdrawn by CCW on the same nights. So get in line and get knowcked the F out like everyone else has.

Wait just one darn second here people. Why so bitter? Geez, if your so sure CCW is SOOO much better than anything else, then why even post? There is no reason to attack someone for nothing. Are they running in direct competition to CCW? Nope. Just because they are holding a show in the same town doesnt mean anything, so relax. You said it yourself, competition is a good thing. Right now, id pay 10 bucks to sit at the special olymipcs before i would CCW. Its awful. I want to see what i want to see. Ive heard some things and im not going to get excited just yet, but if it all pans out, VIP will put on a show that people will want to buy on DVD. I dont give a crap how many retards want to sit and watch Pothead John wrestle Dr Blue, all i know is what i want to see. Its freaking funny how many people want to come out of the woodwork and start crying if someone starts talking about bringing an actual wrestling show to Evansville. If there are 10 people there and its a card of guys i like, at least i'll finally get to watch some actual WRESTLING. Say what you will about CCW running out IWA, its true, but you cant argue with the talent that Ian brought to Evansville. CM Punk, Evan Borne, Samoa Joe, DO THOSE NAMES RING A BELL? I mean get real, CCW could never match those names. I doubt very seriously if Walt is doing this to hurt CCW. Walt just wants to put on a good show and he wasnt in full control in CCW. As for rasslinfan, im not sure who people complained about so far on this card? Jasper, no. Shank, no. Tommy Danger, no. JP, no? Im not seeing any. If the guys on that video are any indication, then im expecting some great wrestling. If it dont happen, then it dont happen. Hell, all im asking is for CCW to step up its game. If it takes VIP comming to town and bringing in some guys to do it, then its a good thing. Like i said, CCW is my independent wrestling home. Always has been, always will be, but its time to get real.........do something. Im STARVING for wrestling. The last real wrestling show i watched was like 3 years ago. I need it. Someone step up to the plate soon!

hey nic, the guy running these VIP shows is one of the guys from the old CCW regime. You know the one that could draw about 12 people and claim to have a great show. These guys were given resources to run a show every week and they got 12 people to pay every week. They took one of the top indy promotions in the united states and ran it into the ground. Even though only 12 people came doesn't mean it wasn't a good show. It was a whole lot more entertaining than the last couple of shows I've been to. CM Punk vs. Hero was an hour long match in front of only a few people. I guess that much was crap because there wasn't high attendance? What top indy promotion in the US did they run into the ground? I missed that. I'll definitely be there to support VIP Wrestling. It looks like the people in charge know what they are doing. You can bash the attendance of those IWA MS shows all you want, but do you honestly think that CCW had a better show those weeks? AJ Styles vs. Matt Sydal was one of the best matches I have ever seen live. For whatever reason, a lot of Evansville fans are masochists and would rather watch Memphis garbage than IWA MS/Ring of Honor/TNA. That's fine, but I'd rather see quality WRESTLIIING. Like nic said, how many have tried to run CCW off? NFW tried to compete and couldn't. Midwest Pro tried and failed. All of the IWA shows that Ian ran were outdrawn by CCW on the same nights. So get in line and get knowcked the F out like everyone else has. New Focus was garbage and they still drew more than CCW at that time. Am I right? Now CCW has a lot of the same wrestlers as NFW did, so why are you bashing NFW but praising CCW? Did the building change the quality of the show that much? I love CCW and want it to get back to being great wrestling, but until it does, I have to support what looks like an awesome wrestling show. If CCW gets back to being great (and the management is new, so it is a possibility), I will attend those shows as well. Right now this looks like a monthly show and it isn't running in direct competition to CCW, so I don't see what the big deal is. It shouldn't hurt CCW. Who ever complained about JP, Shank, or Jasper? I would much rather see those guys than CJ Popp or Pothead. The more good wrestling in Evansville, the better if you ask me. I'm looking forward to seeing Chuck, Drake, OMG, Vortekz, Ricochet, and even JP and Shank back in Eville.

Is it that hard to understand that the same people in charge of CCW the last three plus years are the same one running these VIP shows? IS that hard to understand?
How many times has Ricochet no showed Walt in CCW? More times than he will admit. Whose to say he won't do it again, then what? You guys come on here give your two cents. Bash the show and then claim you never did. Wrestling fans are so two faced its pitiful.

Who are the NFW guys on our show? John. That's it. There are no Flash Brothers, T-Bolt, Master Rich, Chris Champion, or any of those guys. It's not bashing. It's call being confident. If I didn't think CCW wasn't either the best or had the potential to be the best again I would fire myself. Good luck Walt. It's awesome to see former CCW greats Ricochet, Drake Younger, and my favorite wrestler Chuck Taylor come back to Evansville. Whether it's at the Coliseum or not. Once word continues to spread that CCW isn't ran by who it was run by don't be surprised to see the Naptown Dragons, The Cereal Killers, and others in the hexagon.

"nicwood" You know I can't wrap my mind around it...... How are you going to take credit for running TNA and IWA out of town.... One, because TNA was a "special attraction" just like WWE coming to town, I suppose you ran them out of town as well huh? Two, IWA is based out of Chicago...them running this market was an experiment. It was not feasible to drive all this way to put on a show when they are doing great up there! It's not rocket science! . WTF is all the hate for....looks as though VIP is running on Saturdays, once a month! They are not even competing against CCW! I don't get it?! You talk about the people behind VIP lacking class, running these shows maliciously. The only person on here lacking class right now is you. Competition is good.....I'm with Ike We have been hearing all this talk about CCW stocking up the ammo to load the guns....well lets load em if you got em! All we as fans want to see is good quality wrestling! I don't care if its on a f-king trampoline!!! I too am starving for WRESTLING!!! . "rasslinfan" You know....sure it would be nice to have a sh.it load of fans at every show...... unfortunately thats not realistic. As for running "one of the top promotions in the country" in the ground....you need to stop right there. CCW is no where in the league with Ring Of Honor, or IWA Mid-South. Would I like to see it up there? Hell yes I would! As far as the guys on their roster getting bashed here on the board.... please show it to me! I never recall anyone bashing these guys here on the forum. . CanadianDream put it best.... You are on here bashing NFW but the new CCW is a mirror image. I don't get it ****************************** Sounds like VIP has their sh.it together Already having talent lined up for next month! Thats the way you do it! I can't wait to see Chuck and Ricochet back in Evansville! Not to mention Drake and OMG . I will be there no doubt.... Along with my recruits.....I got 10 in hand for ya so far. . Any word on a website yet?

"You are on here bashing NFW but the new CCW is a mirror image."
Not true. Who on the CCW roster worked for NFW? Pothead John. Thats it. Period. Just because the self proclaimed gods of marks so it, doesn't make it true.
"Sounds like VIP has their sh.it together"
Did they have it together when they ran CCW? No one has answered that yet.
