First I would like to apologize for starting late this week at 7:33 instead of the advertised 7:30 bell time. We are listening fans and working on it
The night opened with a tag match featuring some returning wrestlers as Lincoln "Mainstream" Moseley and partner "Monster" Matt Marshall def Scott Sexton & Michael Kaiden when Moseley pinned Kaiden after a spear
Following this match I explained that the board members scrapped the idea of the advertised Battle Royal and set up a 12 man tournament to finish up this next Wednesday to crown a new CCW champ. The title has been vacant for quite a while.
Next was the first match up for the tournament as Adam Gooch made his way to the ring. Unfortunately his scheduled opponent Oliver Cain was unable to appear due to injuries he sustained the previous Saturday in a match with Shank Barzini resulting in a gash in his head requiring 7 staples to close. Shank was also scheduled in the tourney but also injured. Here's hoping these two up and comers in the Midwest can bring this intensity to the Coliseum. Gooch berated Cain for not showing and was prepared to accept a bye but Shawn Northstar was placed in the tourney as an alternate. He gave a good showing and tried to capitalize on his opportunity but in the end Gooch came away with the win and advanced.
The second match of the tourney pitted Matt Atreya against Kyle Maverick which resulted in a win for Atreya after his usual questionable tactics and interference from Mr Wayne.
The next tournament match featured a returning Manitoba Maniac an alternate for the injured Shank Barzini vs Alister Fear minus the dress and Minus Juicy Jimmy. Fear has had a lot of frustration lately and unfortunately for the Maniac he was the one Alister took them out on and Fear advanced.
after a brief intermission.... no i know what you are thinking Oboys but ten minutes and we were ready for action lol. We took a break from the tourney and cut loose with ladies action as Jessi Belle Smothers faced Mickie Knuckles. Knuckles was the obvious fan favorite and at one point the crowd offered Mickie a feminine Hygiene product so Jessie could be fresh as a summers eve. Mickie was victorious and threatened revenge for the low blow Jessie Belle gave to Diamond Steele 2 weeks prior and Jessie fled the arena with Mickie giving chase much to the fans delight.
Back to the tournament as Juicy Jimmy Felcher faced Diamond Steel. Felcher used every trick in the book and the assistance of Mr Wayne but in the end lost the match due to a count out and Diamond Steel advanced.
Next was a match of speed and agility vs Strength and experience as veteran Lonestar The Texas Hangman squared off against the High Flyin Ninja Hy Zaya. Using all the speed he could muster Hy Zaya was able to pull out a victory against the big man which of course put Lonestar in a bad mood although I'm not really sure I've seen him in a good mood I'm just sayin. Hy Zaya advances in the tourney.
The final match of the opening round featured two of CCW's hungry young lions as JP Lightning met Micas Silva. Both of these young men have held the CCW Title and were ready to do whatever it took to wear the gold again. As the match finished it appeared that Micas had pinned the now despised JP Lightning, but referee Jeff Lucerne reversed the decision after finding a chain hanging from Silva's tights. Despite Silva claiming that JP had placed it there the ref had no choice but to DQ Silva and Lightning advanced causing the fan to near riot.
eight matches down and we took our final intermission at 9: 30 in a jam packed night of action and the ring was prepared for the main event a Fans bring the weapons match as Mad Man Pondo who answered Kaige Kutlers challenge last week to a no weapons match and paid the price got his chance to make the rules. He had Kutler's partner Adam Gooch barred from ringside, barred interference from Mr Wayne and then it was on. The crowd left happy as Pondo was victorious.
The following are the pairings for next Wednesday
Matt Atreya vs Hy Zaya
JP Lightning vs Alister Fear
and
Adam Gooch vs Diamond Steel
The winners of these three matches will meet in a triple threat elimination Match to determine the new CCW Champion. Make plans now to be there as a new Champion is crowned and new alliances and new feuds are born
Welcome to CCW!!!
