Cavedweller you are so right about Goggle maps and Triple A is not much better luckily I grew up in Southern Illinois and kind of knew where to go. I will say the only place to eat was a bar called The Frosty Mug which was not bad. Griffins Den is the name of the building to be honest this place was a dump.
It is an old Grey metal building with a low ceiling. The only heat was some portable heaters they set up. The building contains weight lifting equipment on one side and the wrestling ring on the other. This building may be a dump but for wrestling it was perfect.
The doors open at 6:00 and wrestling starts at 7:00.They also charge $2.00 and where going to let me in free but I declined.
We started about 7:10 because the ref. did not show.
Match One.
At Brooks vs. Joey O'Reilly
Sad to say this was the best match of the night and should have been the main event . This was back and forth action both guys worked well with each other. They also did some flipping moves which was pretty cool. Joey could hit moves out of no where and is one to watch for the future. Winner Joey O'Reilly
Match Two. Scott Parker vs. Jaysin Static
Parker is the IWAU Club Champion. I have hear ed of him but this was my first time seeing him.He is pretty solid and seems to be the most over. Jaysin tries to play the bad guy.Winner Scott Parker
Ace Hawkins vs. Le Marcus Clinton
Nothing special about this match Clinton did do a few flipping move but outside interference on the part of Hawkins partner Brandon Espinosa help Hawkins win.
Ike Kanshoya vs Mike Slade
Pretty solid match between two bigger guys but nothing special.
Winner Kanshoya
Match FIVE. Main Event
Brandon Espinosa vs David Osbourne
Osbourne was probably the biggest guy on the show but that did not help him against Espinosa. I will be honest I am not an Espinosa fan but he is pretty solid and would win pretty easily but with outside interference by Hawkins.
I thought for the most part the show was solid. The crowd was small only 25 people , but they are trying to establish themselves and have a way to go. I will go again from time to time to check things out.
