Just for anyone who might be planning to go and don't know, last time I drove through Louisville (on my way up to Delaware) I went to find The Davis Arena, just so I'd know where to go for the show. It's a little hard to find. When you go down Shepherdsville Rd, there's a line of buildings that look like warehouses. The first building on the corner of these buildings is addressed 4402 (or something like that). 4400 is actually behind that building and you can't see it from the road. So you have to turn in at that 4402 building and drive behind it. So, I just thought I'd share that bit of info for anyone who might not know because at first, I couldn't find the place.
Anyway, just two days to go! ;D I can't wait! I think of all the matches (which all look to be awesome!), I'm most looking forward to The Briscoe Brothers vs. The American Wolves match! That one should really blow the roof off that place!

Man, when I went to a Meet and Greet with Mickie James before an OVW show at the Davis Arena, I remember how frustrating it was to find the building. When I saw toothless people walking toward the building though, I figured out that that was the one.
I can't wait for the show tonight. It's been a while since I've seen amazing wrestling and we have a good card tonight. It shouldn't disappoint. The Meet and Greet should be fun as well.

My hands are sore from clapping so much and my arms are sore from beating on that wooden thing I was sitting behind (it was harder than beating on the metal guardrail thing at other ROH show! Haha!!) but here are some thoughts on last night's show.
This was my third ROH live show and it seems as though every one of these I attend is more fun then the last one...last night was no different....at all! What an fan-f'in'-tastic show and what a fun night!
Beef Wellington vs Paredyse This was one of the OVW matches of the night. Paradyse came out first....and wow, somebody's been watching some old "Exotic" Adrian Street videos! I can remember back in the 1980's (man, it sucks getting old!) and seeing Street and Randy Savage beat the living crap out of each other every Wednesday night at the Coliseum. Anyway, the biggest difference Street and Paredyse is that Street used to do the whole "gay" gimmick thing to get cheap heat, but when the bell rang, he was as mean and vicious as anyone you'd ever see in a wrestling ring. That wasn't the case with Paredyse. He seemed to just use the "gay" gimmick as a way for easy heel heat and nothing much else. As for Wellington, I had heard of him before, but this was my first chance to see him. I just found out today that apparently, he just signed with the WWE. He should be a good fit there since everything he did was rather bland and not memorable at all. Ok match, I suppose, but nothing special. Wellington won. I guess if nothing else, I can now say that I've seen two guys with the name "Beef Wellington" in person....although I'd much rather see the Canadian one who works for ISW, IWS and sometimes CZW and uses the "ass punch" as his finisher again. At least he's more entertaining.
The Elite (Ted McNaler and Adam Revolver) vs Sucio and Shiloh This was for the OVW tag belts. Sucio and Shiloh reminded me of The Young Bucks and Sucio kind of looks like a smaller version of Trent Acid (R.I.P.). The Elite really didn't do too much of note, but Shiloh did pull off some pretty impressive "dive-into-a-'rana" kind of moves. Both teams did try to impress and didn't put on a terrible match...but it wasn't that great either. The Elite won and kept their tag belts.
Sara Del Ray w/Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli vs Daizee Haze This was my first time seeing Del Ray in person and even though I had met Daizee once (she was selling merch for Delirious at an IPW show last year....really nice girl!) I had never seen her work a match live. Del Ray looked like a monster in the ring and Haze was selling her moves and making them look like a million bucks....which really isn't hard for Haze since she's so small that she looks as though her body's going to break in half at any moment. Hero and Claudio got involved in the match and when Claudio knocked Haze off the top rope, the ref threw them both out....hey wait, isn't Claudio and Haze both in BDK in Chikara? Oh well, I guess what happens in Chikara stays in Chikara! Anyway, after they both got thrown out, Haze rolled up Del Ray for the win. Good match!
Delirious vs Mike Mondo Mondo came out to pretty much no heat, no matter how hard he tried. The only heat he really got from the fans was over the fact that he did that cheerleader gimmick in WWE. Delirious was his usual, crazy self and is always fun to watch. However, other then him doing his usual stuff, there wasn't much to note in the match. In the end, Delirious hit a nasty-looking frog splash for the win.
Chris Hero vs Colt Cabana This was one of the matches I was really looking forward to and, for the most part, it didn't disappoint. Colt was working the crowd really well, as he usually does and doing all kinds of different roll up pin attempts. During the match, "Home Depot" Mike and "Rough Tough" Jimmy Cough got a small "IWA!" chant going, which was pretty funny. Once the match kicked in, both guys worked as hard as you would expect them to. In the end, Cabana got the win. The match was good, but it was WAY too short! But still, it's hard to complain about much with either of these guys.
Roderick Strong and The House of Truth (w/Truth Martini) vs Austin Aries, Rhett Titus, and Kenny King There's something that I enjoy about almost every one of the guys in this match, so I knew this one would be pretty good. Everyone was brawling to start the match off and once that settled down, Titus was left to take most of the punishment. Strong almost chopped his nipples off....d**n, that guy's chops are painful-looking! Once Aries got into the match, things really took off. Aries is just awesome since he makes every thing he does look so effort-less. Once the match came down to Aries and Strong in the ring, the match was really on...and it was great! Truth Martini got involved and then, towards the end of the match, Josh Raymond (or "Abercormbie" for the old-schoolers) pulled off an absolutely amazing corkscrew plancha off the top rope to the floor. In the end, Strong, Raymond and Able got the win.
Claudio Castagnoli vs Tyler Black For some reason, this match wasn't for the world title...I'm not sure why, but who really cares? I knew this match was going to be awesome and OH MY GOD...IT WAS!!! As he always does, Claudio worked the crowd well...and how can you not yell "HEY!!" whenever he poses? Ha ha!! As for Black, he just gets better and better every time I see him in person. The match was so stiff and hard-hitting. The action went back and forth the whole time. Whenever Black would put Claudio into a submission move, the veins in his head and entire body looked as though they were going to burst! There were lots of near-falls. At one point, Claudio did his "UFO" move where he does an airplane spin and then brings his arms down and has his opponent spin freely on his shoulders. What an awesome move! In the end, Black got the win.
Mark and Jay Briscoe vs The American Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) This was the match I was most looking forward to...and HOLY SH*T...that's all I can say! This match was, without a doubt, one of the best live matches I've ever seen in my entire life! All four guys came out and beat the holy living sh*t out of each other! The punches, slaps and chops were so stiff! Once the first brawling settled down, Jay Briscoe took a lot of the offensive from The Wolves. At one point, I saw Richards come over to Cary Silkin (the owner of ROH) and I overheard Richards ask him if his tooth had been knocked out. At one point, Mark ran in to make the save and was laid out on the ring apron. Richards then gave him a DDT off the apron onto the floor...he landed square onto the top of his head with one of the most sickening thuds I've ever heard. How he didn't get knocked out is a mystery to me. Once Jay finally got the hot tag to Mark, the brawl was on and at that point, the match was nothing but pure back-and-forth action! After about ten million near-falls, Jay hit Edwards with a VERY sick-looking spike piledriver (Edwards' body was perfectly vertical and he hit on the very top of his head) for the win. After the match, we all give them a HUGE "THAT WAS AWESOME!!!" chant...and it was! The way that match worked (with the building up to all the back-and-forth action before the hot tag) and the way all four guys worked together was nothing short of perfection!
In the end, it was such a fun night of pure action. On the way out, Cary Silkin was shaking everyone's hands and thanking them for coming, which he usually does, but it's still a pretty darn classy move, if you ask me. On my way back to Evansville, I was thinking about it and I realized that part of the reason I don't follow ROH as much as I would like to is the fact that watching ROH on TV and seeing it live are two completely different things. And while I love watching ROH DVDs, when I go to a live show, I get sucked into the matches and mark out like a complete idiot. HA HA!!!!

It was an amazing show for sure. So good i almost took off yesterday and drove up to St Louis for the show last night. By the sounds of the results there, i should have. That tag main event is what wrestling is all about. Davey and Eddie, IMO, are the best tag team in the biz today. Black v Claudio started slow, but ended very strong. The six man was real good, but was GREAT when Aries went head to head with Roddy. It was also good to see Hero again and the fact he faced Cabana gave that old school IWA MS feel too it. Overall it was the best show ive seen live in years, prolly since 03-04. Cant wait for ROH to return.
