I actually saw your post this morning, Bull and since I was half-dead from driving back from West Virgina and needed to get ready for work, didn't have time to reply. On my way to work, I was thinking about what you said and planning my rebuttals, but then I came home and saw your second post and though I don't agree with everything you said, I respect the fact that you replied. Here's some of my thoughts though:
First and foremost, the only reason I (or just about anyone else) gets on this board to talk about the state of wrestling, good or bad in Evansville is because we actually care enough to voice our opinions. And that's what they are, opinions. You can agree with them, you can disagree with them, but if any of us truly didn't care about pro wrestling in Evansville, we'd all stop using this board and just let the whole thing go down the toilet. In having discussions about these sort of things, good points and bad points are going to be brought up. You might not agree with certain things and that's cool....that's your opinion too. But to resort to insults just because someone doesn't agree with you is very stupid and childish. I'm not saying you are either of those things, but those comments were.
As for going to every show, I went to three CCW shows two months ago and one NFW show last Sat. Part of the reason I went to those shows was so that I could see first-hand what they were all about and form my opinion without just saying "wrestling in Evansville sucks!" without knowing what was actually going on. I realize that NFW had problems last Sat. and I completely understand that, however, that show still wasn't very good....and yes, I DID sit through the whole thing. I don't mean that as a personal attack on you because honestly, I respect anyone who has the guts to get in the ring and do what you guys do. I sure as h*ll couldn't do it. But, as a fan who has watched and enjoyed wrestling for many years, I have my opinions on what I enjoy seeing and what I don't. And that brings me to the next point, we're FANS! If I come on this board and say, "I wish *such and so* was doing a match!". I'm NOT saying, "HEY! Spend a sh*tload of money and bring that guy in!" All I, and others, are saying when they say they would like to see a certain person is, "Wouldn't it be cool if..." I don't pretend to know the business side of things, I just know what I enjoy watching as a fan.
As for the sillier stuff you said, first of all, I have never even seen anime, much less "cranked one off" to it. My "CaveDweller" name is something I came up with many, many years ago because of my love of Mystery Science Theater 3000. One of the first ever episodes of that show I saw, back in about 1992, was a movie called "The Cave Dwellers". When I first got on the Internet, it just seemed like a fitting name. As for "hiding", my real name's Robert Trail....nice to meet you!
