Gene Gilley Benefit Show

[Someone who was there]

Last Sat night in Monroe City Indiana at the Blue Jeans Center, Classic Championship Wrestling ran by Bill Cassidy ran this show. All proceeds were to go to help Mr. Gilley who was involved in a serious motorcycle accident a couple of months ago and won't be able to work for a long time because of it. Many fans put their hard earned money into a donation jar throughout the show.

It was announced by the announcer what had happened and that all money in this jar would go to the family of Mr. Gilley. At the end of the night I spoke to the son of Mr. Gilley and he informed me that none of the money was given to anyone in the Gilley family. The promoter took all of the money home because he claimed he had lost a lot of money on the show.

I just wanted to let everyone who reads this board to know that Bill Cassidy of CWA is the promoter who took all of this money that was suppose to be for a needy family.

Anyone who put money into that jar, please be advised your money went to Bill's pocket and not where it was suppose to go.

As someone who worked on that show I feel like I was used by Bill and I promise he will have his day.

Pass this on and let everyone know what really happened.

happened at this show im glad i was somewhere else saturday.

Mystery guy if he was licensed he wouldn't have pulled this stunt. This is another reason why we need an athletic commission to control and license promoter's and shut down these backyard wannabes from doing crap like this.
