Who was the biggest name to ever set foot at the Coliseum? I just figured it something for all of us to talk about.

It has to be me, end of story. Depends if you are talking CCW or just the Coliseum. CCW, i would say Curt Henning and Sabu......if we are talking Coliseum, the list is long. Undertaker, Foley, King, im sure there are tons more.

I'm pretty sure Terry Boulder made a stop in Evansville on the Memphis loop when he was a green up-and-comer. That would have to be the biggest name to grace the Coliseum. Almost anyone who is anyone was fed to Lawler in CWA. Lawler would inevitably defeat the incoming big name challengers in Memphis at the Mid South Coliseum (and return the favor in their territory as a heel) and usually have the same match with them in Nashville, Louisville, Evansville, and the spot town in between. Usually a pinfall victory for the King, sometimes a dq loss, hardly ever a clean loss.
The biggest name to ever go through CCW was probably Curt Hennig. Next would probably be Sabu or Brian Lawler. Deacon Batista was scheduled with Grandmaster Sexy at a big CCW show back in the day, but he no-showed due to "car trouble." I think he had just signed with OVW at the time.

DiCapo is correct, HOgan did make a stop in Evansville as did the Road Warriors, THe Midnight ROckers, Scott Stiener, Psyho Sid, Master Of Pain, among others.
At a CCW-MECW show I saw Curt Henning, Buff Bagwell, Sabu, Chris Harris, and Barry Windham all on the same card.
The coliseum has hosted some of the greats. Hopefully those days will come again.

And lets not forget Flex Kavana, possibly the 2nd or 3rd biggest name in the history of the sport.
