Are these things ever gona be sold? I know two were auctioned off at shows but there has been no mention of them for months. Would some one get off there ass and make copies already. It does not take a geniuses to put a disc in the PC and copy it. It takes like 20 minutes or so. Sadly I missed out on the good ol days of CCW and would love to see some of the matches/shows I have missed.

Wow, i totally agree with u on this. When they announced they were going to be selling the classic shows, i was excited to see them. CCW is really missing the boat on a lot of money by not getting this done. All you really need to do is get them transfered to DVD and then get a large company like Smart Mark to sell them, and there is instant money. Sure they would get some of the money, but in the end your going to make more with a big established company like them selling them, than just trying to sell them yourself. CCW has had enough huge indy stars at their shows to sell DVD's. It would be a great idea to generate money to help pay big stars to come in for the big shows. To me its just not good business to let these classic shows sit on the shelf and collect dust.

Ike is 100% right. Negotiate with a media company to professionally master these vault classics to dvd and use the proceeds for bettering the show talent/props/equipment and increasing profit margins for payouts. Sure, CCW could to do this themselves, however, time is money and nobody has the extra time to crank out mass quantities of a 6 year video library. Let a company start working on the key or monumental shows with a professional looking disk and art insert for the dvd keepcase. An ideal situation would be that the contracted company work off an agreement to take a percentage of the proceeds from the sales, rather than a set price. By doing this there is not much out-of-the-pocket upfront money and less risk in the venture.

You type all of this knowing that no one is CCW is interested in selling this library. Its like their baby and the don't want anyone else to see it. The only person intelligent enough to negotiate any of this would be Walt.

Why would CCW not be intrested in it. Its like a guy walks up to me on the street and hands me a 100$ bill and me saying i dont want it. It would be nuts to not do something with the old shows. There has been some top name people come through CCW, and there are a ton of fans who will pay good money to see those classic shows. JC Bailey and Necro had THE best hardcore matches ive ever seen and ive watched all of the recent King of the Deathmatches. The IWA lightweight title changed hands on a CCW show in Delirious vs Jimmy Jaccobs. IWA fans would buy that DVD in an instant and just ask smartmark video how many IWA fans pay good money to buy DVD's. Ian Rotten is always the first to tell you, they are the only reason IWA stays in business. Someone needs to get this done, to help the future of CCW.

Ike, I agree they SHOULD be interested but they aren't. I have asked for three years if I could buy some copies of the old CCW matches. No one even wanted to think about it.

With over 6 years of videotape library, and the people who work for CCW being volunteers or not having a financial interest in the venture (ok, maybe the Ackers, but this is not their day job), I guess I could see why nobody has taken a serious step forward. It's not an easy task to mass archive them alone (it took Eric hours to edit and master the show for the local access channel) and it costs money out of someone's pocket to have a Smart Mark Video to do the job. Great potential for money - lots of time to donate and some upfront cash. It would take someone VERY serious about the cause of CCW to take this upon themselves. I dunno if we're at that point. Maybe. ?

Well considering I only see a hard camera on the stage every week, I do not see how much editing there could possibly be. Yes there would be some but it is not like we have a hard camera, and a camera or two ringside where we would have 2 to three angles of footage to splice together.
I realize there is 6 years of archives but there are already 2 copies of a DVD made already. If I had a copy of one of those DVDs I could easily get 20 copies made in a week. Maybe even more.

I could have 20 copies made in a day with my trusty Sony DVD burner. If someone has a copy let me know. I will burn it and turn over the copies to CCW management for them to do with whatever they want.

Tech, for many years CCW actually did have a handheld camera shot, and for a very short period if I recall correctly even had a 3 camera show (1 hard camera and 2 handhelds). Long-time former CCW employee Tina Noble did quite a job on the main motion cam. Apparently the days of handheld are on hold, but there is some great handheld footage in the archives. Including the show where Necro Butcher and JC Bailey proceeded to pull the canvas and foam padding/carpet off the ring to expose the wooden ring floor to which Necro set fire to the ring. The two wrestled in the burning ring before Necro slammed Bailey into a burning puddle of charcoal starter, which caught JC on fire. Security mistakenly panicked and hosed both in the face with copious amounts of fire extinguisher CO2, which almost fatally suffocated Necro. JC punched the security guy in the face, Necro eventually recovered after drinking mop water to cleanse his mouth, and the security guy never worked for CCW again. It's all on tape in the CCW vault.

Where is this "vault" you speak of? Anyone down for a Recon mission?

I remember that match. Necro and JC were insane. Ive seen them do so much s**t to each other its insane. I remember when the shows were shot with multiple cameras, so i know the shows are out there. When Ian was helping run shows there, i know there were at least 2 different cameras, shooting the action. There are a few shows id die to see again, many of which involved Chris Hero, Necro Butcher and JC.
