I've been following this story and considered posting something about it on here, but I wasn't sure if anyone still read this board or not either. I'm honestly not surprised this happened. The last SNPW show I attended was rough, to say the least. The fans were just so out of control and the whole scene was not good at all. I can only imagine how bad things have gotten since then. It was that and the fact that so many workers I enjoy watching aren't booked on the shows anymore is why I've given up on SNPW. Still, all of this doesn't justify doing what Gooch did. It's a sad situation all the way around.

The last show in which I traveled for was TOD back in June. It was fairly decent this year. Drake Younger was the real star of that show and Abdullah Kobayashi was just so cool. That dude cracks me up. Since then, I've cut way back on going to shows. It seems as though it's become slim pickings for seeing any good shows in the area. Also, I've had some family health issues that have really cut into my free time lately.
However, I did attend Chikara's show in Indianapolis back in August. The main event of that show was the finals for the Young Lion's Cup between ACH and Mark "Mr. Touchdown" Angelosetti. I've read on some Chikara boards that some are calling that the best Chikara singles match in 2012. I can't say I disagree because that match was awesome! That whole show was so much fun too. Then, I also went to a small show in a town called Robinson, IL. It was a new company called Fight Pro and the show featured a lot of the guys who don't work IWAU shows anymore. After that, I took a bit of another break because I took a trip to South Dakota (which was VERY awesome!!!!) Then, on this past Sunday, I went to IPW's return show. It was held in a really old theater in Indianapolis and the set up kind of sucked, but the show was really good. The main event was Jake Crist vs. Davey Richards and I can honestly say that was one of the top five best live matches I've ever seen.
I considered writing out reports about those, but I didn't know if anyone would read them.

I have always believed and tried to see things black and white. The Carmi show has gotten away from the wrestlers I like seeing also but the people seem to love it and I am ok with that.
Gooch did come out and attacked Heath Hatton and Heath recovered .Gooch threw a chair that hit the ropes and bounced back in his hands. To be honest it was pretty cool. As Gooch came around the side Nathan was on Nathan said some thing. This caused Gooch to get in his face. From where I was setting which was behind them back at the bell table. I saw Nathan bring his elbow up and push Gooch away. then it looked like Gooch pushed Nathan. Then Nathan took a swing and then the punch by Gooch.
Black and white tells me Gooch had every right to defend himself. Now I have another color it is called Grey. Even though Gooch had every right to defend himself should he have my answer is no. Nathan is or poses no threat to Gooch what so every. Gooch like me is probably tired of seeing this 24 year old ( Sorry he is not a kid )and his dad at every wrestling trying to fight somebody. Cavedweller his dad is the one who got into at the last show you where at. I have even see these two fist fight each other at wrestling shows. So Nathan is not blameless hopefully this is a wake up call to them.
I believe SNPW is doing every thing they half to do and then some. Did Gooch need to be let go yes. What I hated to see was Gooch thrown under the bus for making a error in judgement . I understand why though. I do know SNPW is looking strongly at the issue of controlling the crowd plus wrestler. Hopefully this can be done with out barricades any suggestions.
Understand I don.t want to see anybody hurt at wrestling shows there's no point in it

So, this Nathan dude is the one who I see at every show I go to in Illinois and is always with the crazy old guy who's always getting into it with wrestlers and that one drunk "security" guy who I used to always see at CCW shows? When I first heard the story, I figured that's who it was but then I saw the report on the news and it didn't look like him. Of course, his face was all swelled up in the picture though. I kinda figured that's how things went down and that Gooch was just defending himself. It's like I said, that's part of why I've given up on SNPW. It just seemed to me as though the people at those shows were getting more and more out of hand and even if you read my review of the last show I attended, I said that it was starting to feel more and more like CCW shows. And I agree that even though they were getting away from booking workers that I enjoy watching, the people there seemed to be enjoying it. That's why I didn't make a big deal out of saying that I had lost interest in going to those shows. It's just kinda sad because SNPW did have a good thing going there for a while.
