I came across this information on Lady Vendetta's web sight the other night. Seems like the Cosby's will be running on January 10,2011 in Carmi Illinois. The location is the VFW located 406 East Main Street. Bell time the best I could see was at 7:30 pm. If no body has ever been to Carmi it is pretty easy to get too. Head like you are going to Saint Louis take the Carmi exit. Go through Crossville and when you come too Carmi you are already on Main Street cross the bridge and it will be on your left. You can also get through here from New Harmony too many deer for me though. Carmi has a good pizza place called DiMaggio's. Keep on Main Street and it will be across the street from the CVS, both are on the left.I do plan on going.
The Matches are. 1.) Lady Vendetta vs. Mickie Knuckles 2.) Jie Bli vs. Matt Atreya 3.) Jamie Dundee vs. Juicy Jimmy Feltcher 4.) Jake Capone vs. The Reaper 5.) Dave Crist vs. Shank Barzini 6.) BJ. Whitmer vs. Madness Main Event - 7. ) Pondo and 2 Tuff Tony vs J.P. Lightning and Adam Gooch

Thanks for the head's up, Storm. Here's a link to a post on the St. Louis message board that contains a poster for the show. It says on here that the show starts at 7:00 P.M. stlwrestling.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=events&action=display&thread=4481Since this is on a Tues. night, I'm strongly considering this one myself. The Shank/Crist match has the potential to be really awesome. I'm assuming that "Madness" is Chris "Madness" Hall. A match between him and Whitmer has the potential to be stiff and brutal.

Here's what went down last night:
First of all, thanks to Storm for the DiMaggio's recommendation. I haven't had pizza that good since I went to a place called Totonno's on Coney Island in Brooklyn, New York last Summer. Anyway...on to the show:
One of the first things I noticed about last night was the because of the fact that the show was being held in a VFW hall, the ceiling was really low. So.....no high-flying moves in that place, unless in the future, they can get that short ring that Chikara used to use. There was a decent crowd for the show. By the time the show started, there had to have been at least 100 people there. Of that 100, I saw a lot of people that I've seen at CCW shows.
Jake Capone vs. Reaper I have no idea who Capone is, but the last time I saw Reaper, he was getting his butt kicked in the middle of Court St. by Pondo and Necro. Reaper was wearing a pink Hayabusa mask and has pink hair now. Capone was a really large guy who moved slower than DJ Hyde (and I didn't even think THAT was possible!). Both guys seemed kind of timid to do anything and because of the massive size difference, it was hard to take anything Reaper did seriously to a guy who was at least twice his size. In the end, Reaper hit a swanton off the second rope and got the pin. Not a completely horrible match, but not a very good match either.
Jay Bly vs. Manrosis w/ Mr. Wayne I might be getting this Manrosis guy's name wrong. Basically, he was a poor-man's Abyss with facepaint instead of a mask. Bly was a younger guy with a mohawk who, in a way, kinda reminded me a little of Jimmy Rave. At first, this looked as though it was going to be a pretty goofy match, but both of these guys surprised me. They started off hot and heavy and were pulling off some really stiff, fast-paced moves. So much was happening so quickly that I can't even remember it all. In the end, Manrosis (?) had Bly in a full-nelson and for some strange reason, Mr. Wayne gets up on the ring apron, distracts the ref and then goes to hit Bly with his cane, but Bly ducks and Wayne hits his man and then Bly pins him. Why Wayne would try to hit Bly when Manrosis was winning the match anyway is beyond me, but okay. After the match, for some unknown reason, Guido Andretti ran in (and fell over a chair in the process) and attacked Bly and threw him into the ring post. Overall, a good match that was kind of ruined by a strange ending.
Juicy Jimmy w/ Mr. Wayne vs. "White Trash" Jamie Dundee Wow...I think Dundee's finally found a gimmick that totally suits him. Ha ha!!! Anyway, as expected, this match had a LOT of stalling in the beginning. Jimmy was doing all of his usual "gay" stuff, which I have to admit, is entertaining....at least he only teased taking his clothes off this time and didn't actually DO it! They did promos back and forth with each other and a dance off....all the usual stuff really. Once the match got going, nothing really stood out as being fantastic. but, as much as I almost hate to say it, I have to give Dundee credit for not just putting himself over the whole time. The end of the match was really weak though. Jimmy whipped Dundee into the corner and Dundee jumped on the second rope and hit a crossbody for the win. After the match, Mr. Wayne and Jimmy attacked Dundee and Wayne pulled out a tazer. Just as he was about to taze Dundee, Lonestar ran in to make the save. He took Wayne out and got the tazer from him. Then, Holly Cosby came out and Lonestar gave her the tazer and she tazed Mr. Wayne. Holly then set up some kind of match for the next show where if Lonestar beat Jimmy, he'd get 5 minutes with Wayne....or something to that effect. The whole thing was kind of an overbooked mess really.
Mickie Knuckles vs. Lady Vendetta Mickie came out to "I'm So Sick" by Flyleaf. When that music hit, my first reaction was, "THUMBTACK JACK!!!"....oh well, I can dream, can't I? Anyway, Mickie now has died black hair and was playing the heel. She did it well too....even though it looked as though she was about to bust out laughing whenever she'd insult fans. I've seen a few Lady V matches in the past and well....I can't say that I've been very impressed. This match certainly did nothing to change that opinion either. She was botching moves all over the place. About the only one she didn't botch was a headlock....seriously! Even someone was awesome as Mickie just couldn't make her look good. In the end, Lady V won with a very sloppy looking powerslam. What a way to waste a great talent like Mickie.
Shank Barzini vs. Dave Crist w/ Samantha ?) I didn't catch the last name of the girl who came out with Crist. I really had high hopes for this match. However, with the low ceiling in the room, I knew it would be tough for Crist to pull off the awesome high-flying moves he's known for. Once you take away that part of Crist's moves, he's not much more than a basic wrestler....which isn't a bad thing at ALL, but his high-flying stuff is what makes him so exciting to begin with. The match was decent. Shank was WAY over, even though he was suppose to be the heel. Sadly, most of the match was wasted with Crist and his girl playing "hide and seek" with Shank's hat. Once Shank slapped the taste out of Dave's mouth, for a little while, the match really took off. However, that didn't last too long. Shank went for Crist's girl and pulled her into the ring. he went to hit her in the corner, but Dave caught him and then pulled off an awesome move in which he monkey-flipped Samantha onto Shank's shoulders and then she did 'rana on him. That was pretty sweet actually. In the end, Dave hit jumping backflip powerbomb kind of move and got the pin. All in all, not a terrible match at all, but it just wasn't quite as great as I was expecting from these two. And again, I think a big part of that was Crist's limited ability to do his best moves.
Chris "Madness" Hall vs. B.J. Whitmer w/ Clayton Cosby Somehow, even though this was their first show, B.J. is already to SNPW champ....okay....actually, now that I think about it, it would have been a bit cooler if they had had a small, 4-man tournament for the title, with this match and the Shank/Dave match being the first round. Then have Shank beat Crit and BJ beat Hall and then have BJ beat Shank. Sorry....armchair booking from a Smart Mark! Ha ha!!!! Anyway, this match was really stiff and brutal, as I would have expected. Hall looked like a beast and Whitmer looked like a million bucks....as he usually does! Both guys worked hard but nothing stood out as being too great. In the end, Hall was going for a Polish Hammer but Clayton grabbed his foot. B.J. then rolled him up for the pin. Another weak ending to an otherwise great match....but oh well. I'd still pick this one as my match of the night!
JP Lightnight & Adam Gooch w/Scarlett Rose vs. Baka Gaijin (Madman Pondo & 2 Tuff Tony) w/Crazy Mary I'm not sure who Crazy Mary is. My guess is she's someone they found at The Gathering. JP and Gooch made for a really great heel team. They came out and were getting in fans faces and Gooch even made a kid cry by stealing his nachos. Chuck Taylor would either be proud of scream "GIMMICK INFRINGEMENT!!!" The match was NOT what I was expecting. There was no brawling, no blood, no insanity.....quite honestly, it was a pure, old school Memphis-style tag match. I honestly never wanted to see Pondo and Tony pretend to be the Rock 'N' Roll Express, but that's pretty much what they were. The obvious catfight between Mary and Scarlett happened pretty early in the match and after that, it was pretty much JP and Gooch beating up Tony, who was "playing Ricky Morton". At one point, Gooch was on the ring apron playing with a cellphone....not a good sign! Once Pondo got the hot tag, he cleaned house and hit JP with his stop sign and got a weird pin. It looked as though JP was either suppose to kick out or that Scarlett was suppose to pull Jeff the Ref out of the ring. Either way, the ref counted three and Pondo got the pin. After the match, Pondo said that at the next show, there was going to be a Falls Count Anywhere match. I wish that match would have happened last night....oh well.
All in all, I can't really say that this show was totally horrible, however, it wasn't anywhere near as good as I was expecting. However, that's not to throw the whole under the bus because for a first show, there is potential that things can, and probably will, get better. The main thing though was that the crowd was WAY into everything and seemed to be having a great time. So, I suppose that's what counts the most....it's just crazy Smart Marks like me who sit and nit-pick things apart.
By the way, they announced that the next show is going to be in Carmi again on Wed. Feb. 1st.

Cavedweller sorry it has taken so long for the follow up. I am not sure any is needed after the fine job you did in your post.
You are welcome for the Pizza tip and a half hour earlier I would have bought HA HA,now on with the show.
Strictly Insane Pro Wrestling should be proud of there first show. If not for the Smart Mark in me I would say they legged out a triple. My biggest problem was the low ceiling and I understand that is really not there fault. My other concerns where the bad finishes to most matches which should improve and the fact no heel won a match.
I believe they where just trying to run a first show and to Gage which direction to go in. Cavedweller pointed out how the crowd was really into it. I agree with that and it was great to see the little kid next to me running around trying to get autographs.
I wanted somethings done different but I do think they are off to a decent start and I wish them well. On the other hand there is lots of room left for improvement. A learning curve if you will.
I will probably not go to all their shows allot depends on who they bring in and my craving for good pizza.
I did like the spot they used Jamie in. He gives them a solid name on the card much like Mitch does CCW, without having to main event the card.
Capone and Reaper was way to long and would have been better with a shorter match.
I can not say how wrong I was about Shank. He just keeps getting better.
I would like to see Jay Bly wrestle a few more times before making judgment.
I love Mickie's bad attitude.
Main event would have been better ending as a double count out just to give the crowd a taste.
Finally the the only thing I can come up with is that they wanted to carry BJ over as champ since he held the title when the CCW marriage ended.

I agree. The more the merrier. By the way, sorry for my typos in my review of the show. I did that in a hurry between teaching lessons last week....haha! Also, I hope my review wasn't too harsh. I was just trying to brutally honest. I am glad that the Cosby's are running shows because Lord knows they bring in better talent on a regular basis than any of the other promotions around here. I doubt I'll be able to make the Feb. 1st show though because of my work schedule. But, it'll be interesting to see where things go from here.
