Seriously? I know Sabu's best days are way behind him, but I've never seen him in person and I know Lynn can still go. His match with Al Snow at the first Legends show was pretty much the only match worth watching at that show. If this news is true, then I just might have to check that out.

A month ago I would have said that there's no funkin' way Sabu makes a CCW show in Evansville. Heck, Sabu hasn't been heard or seen from in months and getting him out of Detroit these days isn't cheap. However, Sabu did work Prince Mustafa Ali at Friday's IWA show in Bellvue, Illinois, over around Peoria. So he showed and he appears to be taking bookings. Word is Sabu looked pretty rusty but did do a few high spots and showed some good mat wrestling. This was one of Sabu's first bookings since he worked the second JCW show in Evansville.
Sabu news keeps coming. It's being reported that at IWA Prince of the Death Match tournament, a qualification tournament for this year's KOTDM, that Pyscho Shooter Drake Younger's opponent will be none other than the suicidal, homocidal, genocidal maniac Sabu!
So anyway yeah Sabu vs. Lynn is probably legit. As far as your original question, I forgot what it was but I don't think I answered it. Short term memory is gone. Sorry dude.

I have seen Sabu at the coliseum once and tried to talk to him and he was a complete ass! As far as his work I enjoy it or enjoyed it, haven't seen it in a while. But this should be a good match to watch. But on the bad side that will be only good match to watch that night.

I had heard that Sabu worked that IWA:MS show, but hadn't heard any reports on how he looked or how well he worked. I have heard reports that his body is pretty broken down these days. Still, like i said, I've never seen him live, so that would be interesting to see. When I went to an ECW show back in 2000, I think he was either working in WCW or Japan at the time. And yeah Jay, I wouldn't expect the rest of the card to be anything to write home about.

I met Sabu when I was training with Ian. He was really nice to me. He asked me to buy him a Snickers and told me to get one for myself too. Considering we were pretty much ignored as trainees that was really cool of him.
That being said, I'm not sure he can do too much anymore. It's getting to the point where all the people I grew up watching are getting too busted up to do anything. I'm sure it would still be a good match, but I'm not sure how much longer it'll be before Sabu starts to look like Funk.

The Sabu/Lynn match has been confirmed for next week over on CCW's My Space page. They're calling the show the "April 7th anniversary show" so I don't know if that means it's going to be a Legends show or not. It looks as though they've been having some sort of a tag team tournament for a team to get a shot at the tag belts on the 7th, so I'm guessing that means The Rock and Roll Express is going to be there. Didn't they win the belts at the last Legends show? Anyway, it looks as though I might have to try to go check out this show, just because I've never seen Sabu in person before and as Mike said, there's not going to be many more chances to get to see someone like Sabu, even if his best days are WAY behind him. Plus, a match between Sabu and Lynn 10 years ago would have been a dream match to see live, so maybe it'll be worth sitting through what ever other matches are on the card. Mike mentioned Terry Funk. I actually got to meet Terry at the IWA:EC anniversary show last November. His hands shook so bad that he could hardly write his name to sign autographs. It was sad to see actually, but he was a super nice and gracious person though.

I think Lynn vs Sabu is enough to bring us out of the woodwork. I hope the rest of the card is at least decent. We will prolly be in the house on wednsday!

After spending probably too much time and effort to sample the wrestling "scene" here in Evansville over the last few months, the idea of going to another show here in town kinda makes me want to gag. But, as I have said before, if someone books something that interests me, then I'll go and this match interests me. So, count me in too for Wed. night.

Any word on the rest of the card? I'm tossing around the idea of coming out with the oboys, but I don't think I have enough faith that Sabu and Lynn will both actually be there. Plus I'd have to show up late, so $10 or whatever for sub par wrestling and a no show would piss me off. Hopefully there's an ok card to go along with a too-good-to-be-true main event

For the record, I just stare at that "post-it" girl every time you post.
She should not be covered up... Life is just not fair!
