I just figured it's a time to change some conversation on here. Who's your favorite CCW "current" wrestler?
Mine is no doubt 100% LT Falk. I just wish they gave him someone to really wrestle. A true rising star in the making. Evansville should just be happy they got this talent.
Still I'll give a shout out to Mitch....I like him a million times more as a heel.

I like Switchblade the most. Def, the best wrestler CCW has to offer. I agree LT is a great young talent. A Faulk/JP fued for the lightweight title is needed. Im aleays a mark for Mitch. Like u said, his badguy work is better. I think Alister is a great hardcore guy, if they are going to do real hardcore. Like ive said before, chairs and 1 barbed wire bat isnt really that hardcore. Its a shame JC couldnt be kept around.

I've only been to three CCW shows, so I really haven't seen enough of the current guys to form a true opinion. But, just from what I've seen, LT was one of my favorite from those shows. He works a heel really well. A match between him and JP would be good. JP was one of my favorite local guys at the VIP shows. Switchblade looks good, but I'd really like to see him in some singles matches. I like Mitch Ryder. I've seen a lot of his matches over the years, but not that many in person. I'd like to see him in a match with someone other than Jamie Dundee. As for the hardcore guys, Fear is alright. As for JC, I'm hoping that he comes back. He's getting booked for shows all over the place right now, it seems.

It sucks to say, but im going to have to agree. That is simply an awful card. If there are is a trickle down effect from last weeks show, this is def not a way to keep them coming back.

The arrogance of the people at CCW amazes me. THey are so arrogant that they believe the fans will come in bunches just because they liked what they saw on ONE show.
They don't respect the wrestling fans at all. Hey CCW, it isn't ok to insult the fans by putting this crap on and telling them that THIS is the best we have to offer. Telling them that THIS is what wrestling is like in Evansville.
If THIS is what you are putting out, then you should close the doors. Or let someone else run the building under different ownership. It is clear to veryone who cares that the current ownership and management doesn't have a clue!!!!!

I am gonna have to agree. I don't know who has the book at CCW......but whoever does....it is time to step aside. It's the same regurgitated s.hit week after week. Majority of these guys on the card cant even work. It's a d**n shame when there is plenty of talent in and around the tri-state area to book great weekly shows. I see JP has made it on so that's a plus. Chuck and Rico live in Murray, KY. Shank here in Vincennes-Eville area. These guys all have great talent....which most are wrestling in bigger companies weekends shows in bigger cities. Its crazy not to use them at the "discounted hometown" rate you can get them for and let them spread the word for your promotion as they travel. When guys travel back through with them .....They bring them. I don't know how many of you were around when Chris Hero and company would do this very thing for CCW. Or Even more recently when Ian came through and booked the shows. Whether you like him or not Ian knows his s.hit. Not only does he have the hookup with all the up and coming indy stars ....he also has a loyal following who would drive hundreds of miles to see his shows.....and a video deal with Smartmark video to sell his tapes. I remember going to WWE shows at the gardens in louisville when I was younger and seeing hundreds of people wearing IWA shirts. That just goes to show how rabid a fan base IWA had down and around Kentucky-Indiana. If Ian had the book again at the coliseum and he was able to sell his tapes and merchandise at/from those shows......CCW and most importantly the FANS would benefit greatly!

Instead of tryin to listen to the people who buy tickets and give the fans what they want, they do what they want and say if you dont like it stay home. Obviously the people in charge arent worried about building anything good in CCW or they wouldnt carry this attitude. And by the way, theres no way this isnt the best you have to offer. There is a ton of local talent that wont break CCW. Dont give me these "free" guys 1 week after 400 fans paid at least 15 bucks to get in. Its a slap in the face. There are a few guys on this card i wouldnt book in a backyard fed. Someone needs to step up and do better.

I too agree with what everyone else is saying. I'm glad that I had already decided to not go this week. Once I saw the card, it confirmed how glad I was about that discussion. I'm glad that I finally went to a few shows, just so I could know who everyone is talking about and now that I know, I agree that most of the names on that card I wouldn't book for backyard fed. I'll tell you someone who's fed I've become quite a fan of lately is Pondo's IWA:East Coast. The thing about the way Pondo runs it is he goes for a "less is more" attitude. He only runs about 7 or 8 shows a year, but when he runs one, man, he goes ALL out and brings in great talent not only from the West Virginia area, but all over the country and all over the world. I went to his Anniversary/ Masters of Pain shows back in Nov. and they were just about the best shows I saw all last year. I know it's not cool to promote someone else's show on a company's message board, but I'm just saying that I wish instead of having lots of crappy little shows, I wish there was someone here in Evansville that would run at least one really good show every few months or so. I guess that's kind of what this new MECW is trying to do, but to me, a "good" show is one that doesn't rely so heavily on stars of the past. But, as always, that's what goes over in Evansville. Welcome to Catch-22-ville.

I actually think what MECW is trying to do is use the stars of the past to introduce the stars of the future. It looks like they won't be doing the "legends show" type matches. They probably realize that no one really wants to see two old guys limping around the ring for 15 minutes. Instead they put a a couple of old guys who can still work on a certain level against a couple of guys they want to build their company around. And then they fill the show with young guys that they want the crowd to see. The crowd that came BECAUSE of the old guys. I think it is a great idea to use Evansville love for Memphis legends as a tool to showcase the stars of today and tommorow. Eventually maybe they can use some TNA guys and ROH guys to headline and still fill the card with really good workers that aren't as "over". Eventually, MAYBE, Evansville will catch on to the new guys and pay to actually see them instead of the other guys. Just my thoughts.
