Really, GQ? CCW has never promoted in eight years so I don't believe CCW drew more than 100 fans consistently when Rotten was here. Sure, maybe once. There never was 100 CCW regulars to begin with but somehow they added 30 repeat fans to shows. Maybe 10 IWA regs made the drive to the shows so that brings asses to maybe 80-85 at most.

Actually there was consistantly like 140-160 the whole time Ian was there. It was definately the IWA regulars that helped, but that IS where the attendance was at. But there was a bigger built in fan base too, because CCW was still OK before that and not the suck it's been the past few years.

No offense to you there GQ Damien Demento but I've never heard of you in my life but it appears you have all the answers. Though in the end, it really doesn't have a d**n thing to do with price of tea in China. We've discovered what's wrong long ago but there's nobody willing or able to fix it.

CCW drew the biggest crowds on a consistant basis when Ian was booking. Not only that, CCW was putting on a product that was as good as anyone in the mid west at that time. Now, just like then, politics reigned supreme and some people got some sand in their puss_ies over who was running stuff and ruined a great thing.
What i cant understand is why there is so many egos running around a promotion like CCW. Why would anyone running a show, considered a joke by most everyone have an ego? Its a shame what CCW has come too. Wrestling in Evansville is dead folks. Dead.

There is no one running this show who has an ego problem. Obviously the one who walked out and quit had the ego's. All we are trying to do is put a show on. Keep the legacy around things are getting better and the crowd is growing once again. The people who run this company do what they can with what they got. And we are looking for new idea's all the time if you have some let someone know and it will be disscussed to see what can be done. All the guys i deal with there are very open and Brian Acker is a good friend to all of us fans he talks to us shakes our hands listen's to our complaints and does what he can to take care of the problem. So quit bashing him

Sometimes, just putting a show on isn't good enough. Now, I haven't been to a show with the new management so I can't really say to much. However, if you want some suggestions, here goes....
1. Put some dam hype around your show. If it wasn't for big lee posting results every once in a blue moon I wouldn't even know CCW's doors are still open. Say what you will about Briley's CCW, at least he did a good job of keeping people abreast of what's going on.
2. Get some decent talent. Don't say it's impossible. There are tons of young guys in the area who can work, that would kill to get some ring time in the legendary coliesium.
When you put the vibe out there that you really don't care about your show and act arrogant about promoting it, IMO, it tells me that you aren't that proud of it. Hell, if you show no interest in it then why should I? I'd love to think CCW could go back to what it used to be but I think it's time to either put up or put it to bed!

ike, the coliseum sells itself, didn't you know that? Those are the words from the booker himself. Whats that tell you?

At this point, I'd rather them either commit and put money into it, or just stop. Take some time off and stock up some money and come back with 1 or 2 name talents and some local guys. Hype the shows and advertise. Skimming by with the regular audience and free/cheap guys that can't learn from each other won't do any good.
