Just read on CCW's facebook they are bringing in alot of guys on the October5th show. Already announced are BJ Whitmer Dave Crist from Irish Airborne and Necro Butcher. I dont know what those guys are doing but its something I want to check out. Im a HUGE fan of the Irish Airborne I wish they could have got Jake as well. Who do you think would be good match up for the guys they are bringing in. I hope we get to see Adam Gooch with BJ Whitmer again

I don't know if I'd get my hopes too high for Crist making the show. Last time Irish Airborne were booked for a CCW show they didn't make it and best that I can remember, I don't think any reason was ever given as to why. Although, if Whitmer and Necro are going to be there on the 5th, I just might have to try to make it, but we'll have to see. I've got a LOT of things going on right now.

Match One - Micas Silva vs. Kaige Kuttler Not a very good match for these two. They both worked a slower Memphis style than a up tempo match. Kaige seem more interested in the fans at ring side than the match. Micas was not on his game and has not been lately. He is not being booked very well in matches. Micas would roll up Kaige who had his shoulder a good foot in the air. Winner Micas Silva
Match Two - Mad Man Pondo vs Shawn Biggerstaff Pondo in the second match, when he was set to be in the hard core match ,I smell angle. Biggerstaff ( Dr. Blue ) calls out Mr. Wayne to be in his corner. Pondo says Biggerstaff was a friend of his but not any more. Pondo kept saying he was a friend angle smell getting stronger. Pondo works over Blue but he makes a come back and invites Mr.Wayne in and then Biggerstaff lays out Wayne and then he high fives Pondo. Pondo takes out Mr Wayne. Winner - No Contest
The bad night is about to change.
Match Three Lt.Faulk & Drew Haskins vs Kentucky Buffet I was surprised to see Castle and Cage on the card since they wrestle in Olney on the same night. This was a long match but a very very good match and had you on the end of your seat by the end. Both teams meshed very good with their different styles of old school and Memphis . We would see several near falls much like the Savage,Steamboat Wrestle Mania match.Castle took out Lt.,Hasken took out Castle and then Cage delivered a very good super kick that Haskens could not have sold any better.Cage goes for the pin before Lt. breaks it up and then they double team Cage and get the pin fall. Before all this near fall after near fall. I wish they would have had both teams get counted out because it wold make for a great feud. Never the less this match gives Haskins and Lt. Credibility much like Gooch has gotten ( future faction alert ) Winners Haskins & Lt. Faulk
They mentioned next weeks show with all the names that have been listed on the message board.
Match Four - Lonestar vs. Iron Man Corey Mathews Funny to see super fan Sammy jaw jack with Mathews about calling him self The Iron Man and even coming out too the song by Black Sabbath.Sammy is super Rob Conway fan. Lonestar is slowly doing a face turn and I would go in the direction they turned Sgt. Slaughter to a face in that I would have him and Gooch bump into each other. One coming to the ring the other leaving and kind of have a stare down and weeks later I would have Lonestar save the Cosby kids from Gooch ,since both have problems with them.Lets get back to the match this should have lasted a few minutes but Lonestar put Mathews over big time and made him look decent and people where buying it. Lonestar did go over the top rope and looked to hurt his hip or knee pretty bad as he stayed outside for most of the match. Back in the ring he would seem to come back only to be stopped until he hit a stunner for the win. Winner- Lonestar.
Match 5- Scarlet gets 5 minutes with JP if Tony wins 2 Tuff Tony vs. JP.Lightning Very good all over the building match both just beating the crap out of each other slamming each other into chairs, bleachers, concrete walls and any thing else. Back in the ring Tony took it to JP. and had him laid out till Gooch's manager came out to distract Tony. Some body has been watching Randy Savage DVDs this week Because the finish came with Tony having JP ready for a back to back suplex but JP. nailed him with a chain. One of the great finishes in wrestling. Winner JP. Lightning This sets up a dog collar match between the two on the 8th.
Match Six- CCW Championship Match Shank Barzini vs Adam Gooch w/Vincent Vandrell On August 1,2011 said they should put the title back on Gooch by saying he went to Mexico and defeated Vampiro well guess what happened last week. Not because I suggested it nor do they read what I say, but this was very smart way to handle the belt being brought back. This also shows the difference between smart booking and how things where done in the past. This will go down as one of my favorite matches of the year. Non stop high flying inside outside of the ring action. They fought all around the coliseum with Gooch and Shank over the rail on my side right in front of me. I was not able to get out of the way and when Gooch went to draw back he almost got me. From there it was up in the balcony where they tried to push each other and then would sit on the rail exchanging chops aw some. They would brawl some more on the floor before coming back to the ring and exchange some high flying moves, Match would end with Shank being distracted by Vincent and Gooch rolling him up for the pin. Winner Adam Gooch This is how you use two talented wrestlers like this in a match that fills hardcore but is not. Nothing against hardcore but it takes a special kind of wrestlers for that.
They Announced on October the 8,2011 at the Old Fort Branch Gym in Fort Branch doors open at 6:30 bell time 7:30 pm Fort Branch Masacre a night of hardcore. Not sure who will be there besides Alister.
Match 7 - Mouse Trap Death Match Juicy Jimmy w/ Mr. Wayne vs. Mike Roach My first look at Roach not bad. He is a big guy more on the stocky side than fat. Mouse traps where a joke and only used twice. Another match around the coliseum but this time between two big guys who beat the crap out of each other. They had a great chop exchange out on the floor between the floor. They continued to beat each other up in the ring until Jimmy slammed Roach on the mouse traps for the victory.
This was all in all the best CCW show I have seen in awhile. I love the fact they are bringing guys in and out.My only concern is that this show would have been a good way two follow up next week show.

Thanks for the report, storm! That actually sounds like it was a pretty darn good show, especially for CCW. I actually wish I had known about the Shank vs. Gooch match. That alone would have been enough to get me to come out to the show. That sounds as though it was a great match. I agree with the statement about how you book a match like that to feel hardcore without it actually being hardcore. In my opinion, those really are some of the most brutal matches. A good example that I've seen recently was the Masada/Whitmer match from night two of KOTDM. Man, that was a stiff match!
Anyway, I don't think IWAU ran show in Olney this week. But I know they are doing one of their bigger shows next weekend. So they'll probably be doing a "build up" show to that next Wed. and I doubt The Buffet and Shank (who's their champ now) will be back in CCW next week. That kind of sucks because the idea of a potential Shank vs. Dave Crist match blows my mind....haha! As for The Buffet, as I've said before, I'm not a huge fan of Castle, but what I've seen of him lately, he seems to be getting better and as a team, they're certainly better than most of what I've seen in CCW. If they were able to come in each week, I think CCW could actually build up a decent tag team division.
All in all, with what happened this week and the chance that Whitmer, Necro and maybe Crist are going to be there, I'm going to try to make it to next week's show.
