thanks guys yes my last post was mor thougth out my first was more anger because i started with ccw when i first came to evansville and every show that has popped up since my time in ccw its because guys that have got fired or couldnt get booked with ccw decided to start there own show and after time with exception on new focus has folded and those guys have crawled back trying whastever to get back in at ccw but my numbers r correct (logical)i mean isnt that the name of the game to have a loyal fan base that comes to every show and then try to add to that fan base i mean come on if u watch tna u see the same front row fans every week granted the fans probally dont pay just like when tna was in nashville but still the same fans at every show thats all u can expect (logical) but again big changes in ccw r coming and i like that internship idea thanks for the advice again 300 court st doors open at 6 bell time 730 c u at the matches. You may have the "numbers" correct, but you can't claim you draw 300 fans a month. You don't. You draw the same 60 fans 4 times a month. Im not bagging on you im just saying thats not an accurate assessment. I don't remember anyone from mecw getting fired from ccw. I persoanlly love the mecw shows and i don't really know how the John guy knows anything about the financials of ccw. how does anyone know what they bring in and what they pay out? I do know that the ccw savior jamie dundee tried to sabotage the first mecw show under the direction of ccw management. I don't know if buzz dupp wasin charge then or not, but that is pretty low. nfw does suck. period. VIP was a great idea. I think it had bad booking but decent ownership. All in all, its all good for the fans. mecw seems to have made everyone step up their game. I like it and if ccw delivers a good product, i'll go their show. we hear about changes yet nothing ever does. what is the common denominator?

I just got back from the show. It wasn't a great show, BUT it wasn't quite as horrible as I expecting. Here are some results and some thoughts:
Before the show, I saw Mickie Knuckles milling around. She looked to have dropped some weight. She also looked to be in really good spirits, which is good considering all she's been through in the last few years...or, I should say all the things I've heard she's been through. Don't know if any of that stuff is true or not, but you never know.
Anyway, at the start of the show, they announced that the main event was going to be Pondo and Necro vs. Popp and Blue....yes, POPP IN THE MAIN EVENT!!!! That made me very, VERY scared!
N V US (?? Mosley & Shawn(?) Sexton) vs. NBT I didn't catch the names of everyone in this match. I know the one guy had "Sexton" on his tights. NBT is the team that was at the last Legends show I attended. I know the T stands for "Tattooed", but I didn't catch the rest of it. The match was decent...nothing great, but decent. Both teams were heel, which was a little confusing. Both teams tried hard and there were some botches, but overall, nothing that stood out too badly. In the end, N V US got the win. A decent opener.
Xavier Cage vs. Diamond Steele This match was for the CCW Mid-American title...never heard of that title, but ok, sure...I'll play along. Both guys were face, which again, was a little confusing. Steele came out with a guitar and was actually playing it, which was kind of cool. Actually, I think we had the guitar he was playing in the used section of the store where I work, but I'm not sure. It looked familiar. The match was so-so. There were a LOT of rest holds. Both guys tried to pull off some high-flying moves that didn't look all that smooth, but at least they were trying. In the end, Steele got the win and retained his title.
James J (w/ Jessie-Belle Smothers) Vs. J.P. Lightning I don't know the back story on this match, but I'm guessing that James did something to Scarlett Rose, because when J.P. hit the ring, he literally beat the living crap out of James with an intensity that I've never seen before from J.P. He was pounding James' head into the mat and even threw him out of the ring and into the guard rails. It was a great brawl, with J.P. just destroying James. Once the match got back into the ring Jessie ran in and jumped on J.P.'s back, which led to a DQ win for J.P. He then threw her down and then Rose hit the ring for a catfight. Next, Isabelle Smothers (Mickie Knuckles) hit the ring and beat down Rose and J.P. That's how everything ended really. J.P. was helped to the back. Not much of a match, but a great brawl and the intensity that J.P. showed was great! I've said it before, but he's one of the very best Evansville has to offer and he only gets better and better!
The Haters (w/ Jessie-Belle and Isabelle Smothers) vs Matt Maverick & Cody Strong This was for the CCW tag titles, held by Strong and Maverick. The Haters were billed as being from JCW and came out wearing masks with horns on them....HEY!! Wait a minute, they have tattoos that look almost exactly like the ones I've seen on Brandon and Vito Thomaselli! Anyway, the match was nothing special. Strong and Maverick were their usual not-so-interesting selfs. The Thoma-Haters pulled off some pretty cool moves, but I think most of the crowd was more distracted by Jessie and Isa-Mickie who were really "heeling it up" with the crowd. In the end, Strong and Maverick got the win with a quick roll-up. It was a crappy way to end the match, but they had to have them win since who knows when The Thoma-Haters will even come back to defend the titles. After the match, Father jay and Buzz Dupp hit the ring and beat down Strong and Maverick. Maverick then got on the mic and was going to challenge them to a match, but the mic died.
Tracy Smothers & Tim Renesto (w/ Jessie, Isa-Mickie & James J vs. Jamie Dundee & 2 Tuff Tony The promos at the beginning of the match went on FOREVER...and EVER...and EVER!!! After the Smothers clan came out, the took the mic to Dundee who was in the back and he rambled on and on and on and on, saying that he was bringing someone from Tracy's past to beat the crap out of him. First, he brought out The Thoma-Haters, who apparently turned on Tracy and his group during intermission or something. Then, when Dundee finally came out, he had Tony with him. Somewhere along the way too, the match got changed to:
Tracy Smother, Tim Renesto and Isa-Mickie vs. Jamie Dundee, 2 Tuff Tony and The Thoma-Haters Once everyone was in the ring, the promos didn't stop. Some interesting info came out of Dundee's rant though. First of all, Renesto was at one time known as Speedy Tall Trees. Man, I remember him from back in the old USWA days of the 1980's! These days, he kind of looks like Billy Gram's long lost brother (Yes, I'm a CZW mark!! Ha ha!!). Also, Dundee mentioned that Mitch Ryder has retired from the business. I don't know if this is true or not. Anyway, after all the silliness settled down, the match was on. Tracy Smothers looks to have lost even a bit more weight is actually looking pretty darn good these days. At one point, Mickie got tagged in and she sort of mixed it up with Tony. I was hoping to see them whip out lighttubes and start beating the crap out of each other...but, that's the vampire in me. Anyway, Mickie looked pretty good, considering all she's been through since her leg was broken two years ago. Anyway, at one point, Tracy got on the mic and starting doing his usual heel speeches, which are always awesome! Dundee then got on the mic and challenged him to a dance-off. As always, if this had been in any other match, I would have been p*ssed off, but to see Tracy doing his full-on ECW-era F.B.I. dance....how can you NOT mark-out to THAT!?!?!?! It reminded me of how back in the ECW days, he'd do that dance and Joey Styles would say, "I'm Italian and I don't dance like that!" That always made me laugh for some reason. Anyway, the match broke down and turned into a giant cluster f*ck/brawl. In the end, Jessie threw the southern flag into the ring and Smother's team got D.Q.ed. Dundee then stole the flag and said that if Tracy wanted it back, he'd have to come and get it at The Gathering.
Madman Pondo & Necro Butcher vs. C.J. Popp & Dr. Blue Pondo came out first with Melissa Wild, Guido Andretti and Viper (the deathmatch guy from West Virginia!) and announced that Necro wasn't there. C.J. and Blue then came out and C.J. said they had someone to team with them for a six-man. They then brought out Father Jay, who apparently is now a face again. The match was then changed to:
Madman Pondo, Guido Andretti & Viper vs. C.J. Popp, Dr. Blue & Father Jay It was kind of weird to think that Viper was the most athletic person in the match. Last time I saw him in person, he was getting flipped off a Hummer into a log cabin of lightubes in Alabama at the Carnage Cup. Anyway, nothing of real interest happened in the match. Popp and Blue looked terrible and Jay wasn't much better. The match was short. Pondo and Jay were fighting on the outside in front of me when Viper got the pin C. J. I didn't even see it happen. After the match, as they were taking the ring down, Pondo went to town with making fun of as many people as possible in the crowd, which is always entertaining.
In the end, I can't say it was a great show...or really even all that good of a show. But, it wasn't quite as bad as I expected...I'm not sure how it could have been really, when I think about it. But anyway, it had it's ups and downs. I really think the highlight of the night was seeing J.P. Lightning show more intensity then I ever expected from him.

Thanks for the Results Cavedweller. Anyway, at the start of the show, they announced that the main event was going to be Pondo and Necro vs. Popp and Blue....yes, POPP IN THE MAIN EVENT!!!! That made me very, VERY scared! So they announced that Necro was going to be in the Main Event at the beginning of the show, knowing that Necro wasn't there. Thank God I didn't go to the show. Necro was the only reason that I was considering going and I decided against it because CJ Popp is horrible. But had I gone and sat through that show waiting for Necro only to get to the Main Event and hear he wasn't there, I would be pissed.

As always 'Dweller...thanks for the results. . First things first, to elaborate on 'Dream. You HAVE to start being more honest with your fans/customers. Say what you will about Walt and VIP but when it came down to it he respected the fans enough to let them know before hand who wasn't at the show as advertised and offered a full refund before the show started. If I would have made the 80 mile round trip to that show last night...I too would have been pissed to sit through the show anticipating Necro and coming up empty handed. . Second.... Guys learn to put up a card before Wed. please! even if its a partial card. Going into a show not knowing what to expect is not a good thing. You may get even more attendance on top of that 60-80 you get every week. He** if I would have known Mickie Knuckles was back in this area I would have drove up there just to see her, and I know more than a few people that feel the same way. Play to your strengths EX: Tracey Smothers, Mickie Knuckles, JP Lightning, Jamie Dundee....not your weaknesses EX: CJ Popp, Dr. Blue, Cody Ray Strong, Havok. Yeah I know the above aformentioned weaknesses need ring time...do it on Tuesdays at the wrestling school! I have been watching these guys wrestle for about 3 years now and they are not getting any better. So "A" they either aren't training hard enough or "B" they are just not meant to be wrestlers. Nothing personal, just business. Like Ike said...you did a good job bringing in talent but I would have left the Coliseum last night not feeling satisfied. WHY you ask? Because no matter how good the talent you bring in....it doesn't mean S**T when you book them with people that can't keep up! There are other local talents around the area that can wrestle circles around those guys and sell just as many tickets! . Look we all want CCW to be what it used to be. The fans are the only ones that can help you achieve that goal. You have good solid ground work laid out. Tracey Smothers is a Legend, Jamie Dundee is a savvy veteren Tim Renesto the same! These 3 guys could help CCW's title picture out greatly. They can have a revolving feud with guys that can work. Up and comers like JP and Shank could be huge with those 3 guys! Mickie Knuckles at one time was one of the best womens wrestlers around....and I know she still has it in her. Having her at the coliseum is huge! Her and Scarlett could have one He** of a feud! Sh** Mickie could have one helluva feud with Tracey , Jamie or Tim honestly! . All and all if you say that your not above listening to peoples ideas on how you should book. that's just the tip of the iceberg. just ask we would all be willing to tell you what we the fans...THE CUSTOMERS would like to see!

Haven't you (and all of us) been telling local promotions what we want to see for the past who knows how many years? ? In my opinion the only ones who have ever listened would be VIP and MECW.

You're very welcome, Morris and Dream. I wanted to get some results up as soon as I could last night because I knew you guys would be interested in what happened. It was a let down to not have Necro there. When the ring announcer said his match was going to be the main event, the crowd actually popped when he said, "Necro Butcher!" For me personally, it wasn't quite so much of a let down though since I just saw him (and got showered in his blood...literally!) at KOTDM a few months ago. While he certainly isn't a replacement for Necro, I thought it was pretty cool that Viper was there. Granted, the guy's got the charisma of a doorknob, but for some strange reason, I sort of enjoy watching his matches. I think last night was the first time I've seen him in a non-deathmatch though. Also, it was cool to see Mickie. It was strange seeing her as a heel valet though. What little she got involved in the Smothers match, she pulled off some pretty good moves and her leg that she broke two years ago didn't look to be effecting her at all. Also, as I said, she looked to have dropped a little bit of weight and was in pretty good shape. If she continues to work around this area, for either CCW or MECW, I hope she gets involved in a feud with someone, male or female. A funny little side note story: during Dundee's rant on the mic, he said that he didn't want to mess with Mickie because, "I've seen videos of you on You Tube and you can kick some ass!" As I was leaving the show, she was walking around and an older guy came up to her and said, "Do you really have videos on You Tube?" She said, "Yeah. Quite a few of them actually." I'm guessing that if that guy looked them up, he's traumatized by now! HA HA!!!!

'Dweller, I can't agree with you more! Mickie Knuckles needs to be booked .....a lot! She needs a feud....guy or girl it doesn't matter. Hope CCW and MECW take note! . AWESOME!!! That's a cool note you just added on dundees comment! Mickie can blow these peoples minds around here man! It makes me anxious ...I wanna see it happen NOW. Wheres the book....someone gimme the book! Ill book that S**T

Yes Pondo and Necro are coming to CCW and so are others like the Thomasellis but what they aren'ttelling you is it is JCW vs CCW so be prepared to laugh. Already announced The Thomasellis vs SSI Cody Strong and Matt Maverick Pondo & Necro vs CJ Popp and Dr. Blue What next Corp & Tony vs Buzz Dupp and Jay Grunge What a waste of good talent. I would skip this unless you get a thrill out of seeing no name talent getting the shoot kicked out of them when they screw up LMAO BTW how appropriate was the captcha that I had for this post much ado about nothing...lol OK this is what I posted and this was the reply from Our Leader The card posted was not correct the person we had post the card mis read what was suppose to be posted. We promise u wont be disappointed with the show we have planned. I agree though i looked at the card after some of these posts and it was definately a miscommunication between our helper and the booking comm. Then at someones request Buzz Dupp posted card which included this The Haters vs SSI Pondo and Necro vs. Blue and Popp As some of those there pointed out the Haters were indeed the Thomasellis under a mask so who screwed up and where was the card wrong? Just saying if you call someone a liar then you are supposed to prove it not confirm they were telling the truth or make up bs about how a card was posted wrong cause you can't tae the heat.

I wondered that at the show. First, they announced that the main event was suppose to be Necro & Pondo vs. Popp & Blue. Than when I realized that The Haters were The Thomasellis and they were facing Strong & Maverick, I though, "Um...weren't we told these matches were wrong?"

so you are saying you booked a tag team and had no idea who the hell they were? Really? You are admitting this? I know promoters who know the shoot names of the guys they book. Sounds like someone got worked.

Though I don't plan on coming to the show tonight, I do want to say that I greatly appreciate the update and the honest explanation of what happened last week. I was wondering what was up with that whole "Mid-American" title thing. Keep us updated on what is happening with CCW and if indeed things are going to change for the better, then I (and I'm sure others who follow this board) will check out the shows more often. Just from looking at the matches you've announced, you've got a pretty good crop of talent to work with...J.P. Lightning, Tracy Smothers, Mickie Knuckles, 2 Tuff Tony and Tim Renestro are all good and though I haven't seen many of his matches, Xavier Cage isn't too bad. I only saw Diamond Steele for the first time last week and while I can't say he was one of my favorites, he did get the crowd worked up pretty well, which is a good thing. Hell, even Jamie Dundee (who I've NEVER been a fan of...even back in the old USWA days) was somewhat watchable last week....except for his pre-match rant that seemed to go on forever. Just the fact that you announced matches and they are all "C.J. Popp"-less is a step in the right direction.

CCW will soon rise again to it's former glory and once again be the "it" promotion in all of Evansville. Then the new "flash in the pan" pretenders will have no other choice than to bow down and admit defeat.
